Independent plan design and dedicated account support
Volume discounts unattainable by individual employers
No administrative fees fees
Lower claims processing and dispensing fees
Higher manufacturer rebates
Guaranteed rebates on every prescription

What unique services will the Rx Purchasing Coalition provide my organization?
Lower-priced pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services from Systemed and Medco Health — TBGH's selected PBM partner. Systemed understands the unique needs of employers with 1,000 or more employees and provides each participating client the dedicated account support required to effectively manage their pharmacy benefit and contain overall costs. Medco Health, renowned for its award-winning member services, provides prescription health care services to plan participants.
A community-based commitment to managing health care costs while improving quality of care-the Rx Purchasing Coalition and Systemed are committed to managing overall health care costs while improving quality of care within and among the communities our member companies operate. Coalition members will participate in physician- and patient-focused outreach programs, including educational seminars and targeted communications designed to encourage physicians and patients to make the best health care decisions possible.
Peer group reporting — Systemed recognizes that cost and utilization comparisons with peers are key. Without compromising plan privacy, Systemed will provide comparisons across Rx Purchasing Coalition member companies, employers in the region and statewide, and Systemed's extensive book of business nationwide.
Higher manufacturer rebates
Periodic User Group Meetings — Rx Purchasing Coalition Members can participate in user workshops to review the performance of their individual plans and the performance of the Rx Purchasing Coalition as a whole, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.

Will I have to adopt standard plan designs?
No. Each participating company retains flexibility in choosing copayments, medical management and other program features. Rx Purchasing Coalition's selected PBM, with its various protocols and formulary, is the only requirement.

Will my data be shared with other participants?
Neither individual company data nor individual patient data will be shared. Participating companies will be able to benchmark themselves against their peers, but employer-specific data will always be kept confidential.

How will Systemed help me manage my prescription benefit?
Each participating company has access to a dedicated account team that includes an account manager, a clinical pharmacist, an analytical specialist, senior staff members, and a client service team, based in Texas.
An account executive and account director also oversee each client. Beyond providing day-to-day maintenance and support, the Systemed account manager monitors program effectiveness and will pinpoint events and conditions that provide real insight into the client's benefit plan's cost-effectiveness, quality of care, and future trends.
Systemed works closely with clients to implement new cost containment measures as their needs change and helps to balance cost savings with member satisfaction. Clients receive:
Access to Systemed's Client Web Site, which can be used for reporting, analysis, and plan modeling. The site can also be used to handle routine updates and member needs online, such as override prior authorization rules, update eligibility, or perform a number of other everyday tasks.
Peer Group Reporting — Without compromising plan privacy, you can compare your plan's performance to your peers.
Detailed Performance Reporting and Annual Performance Reviews — You get specific, actionable recommendations that can help you manage Rx costs more effectively.
Client Communications, including newsletters and regular clinical alerts that provide meaningful information about new drugs and coverage recommendations, as well as new trends in pharmacy benefit management.
